Products

Contract Hire
Contract Hire is a fixed contract term, users have a pre-determined mileage allowance over the contract term and simply hand the vehicle back at the end of the contract. Contract Hire is the leasing of a vehicle, normally to a vat registered business or company, for a set time and mileage at a fixed monthly rental. An 'Off-Balance-Sheet' agreement, the monthly rental is determined by the cost of the vehicle, the period and mileage covered as well as the resultant depreciation. There is the option to include any additional services with the contract.

Contract hire offers fixed-cost motoring. Residual value is no longer a risk that you face. There is no large initial outlay as the costs will be evenly spread out in monthly payments. Cars/Vans can be changed on a regular basis – allowing fleets to run the latest vehicles.

Contract Purchase
Generally an 'On-Balance-Sheet' funding method where a company hires a vehicle for a specified period and makes regular payments. The difference to Contract Hire is that the company/driver has the ability to purchase the car at the end of the contract for a predetermined amount known as the balloon figure.

Personal Contract Hire
Personal Contract Hire, as its name suggests, is essentially the same as Contract Hire but for private individuals. If you want fixed cost motoring, or have opted out of a company car scheme then Personal Contract Hire could provide you with hassle free motoring without the residual value risks associated with traditional ownership.

Personal Contract Purchase
All the benefits of contract purchase available to private individuals and employees opting out of a company car scheme.

Additional Services…

Maintenance
This is offered with agreements and includes routine maintenance and servicing (at manufacturer's recommended intervals), mechanical repairs and replacement parts, tyres, batteries and exhausts.

Relief Vehicles
If this option is selected, the customer is provided with a vehicle in the event of their vehicle being off the road. Forms part of the maintenance contract.

Breakdown Recovery
A mobile repair and recovery service for instances when the vehicle will not start or has broken down either at home, on a road or motorway, or when traveling abroad in Europe, forms part of the maintenance contract.

GAP Insurance
Guaranteed asset protection. If your vehicle was written-off before the end of the contract hire/lease agreement, you would remain liable for the total amount of all the monthly repayments not yet made. If your Motor Insurance write-off payout is not enough to clear the outstanding amount on the contract hire/lease agreement, GAP insurance will pay the difference between your Motor Insurance payout and the amount required to settle the contract hire/lease agreement. Through our extensive knowledge of residual values Hawkins Vehicle Leasing have teamed up with Auto Protect (MBI) Limited to recommend a GAP Insurance claim limit and premium with every new contract hire/lease agreement we provide.
